Hedgehog Company has joined the partner network of MVO Nederland, which is the largest sustainable business network in Europe. The aim of this network is to empower the transition to a sustainable economy.
The goal of MVO Nederland
MVO Nederland monitors the progress of this transition with their self-developed New Economy Index (NEx), which captures the sustainability of the Dutch economy in a single figure; for 2024, it stands at 17.5%.
This index comprises seven themes: new prosperity, circular economy, biodiversity, true pricing, inclusive entrepreneurship, green energy, and transparent supply chains. These themes together form the new economy and are the focus of MVO Nederland’s work.
For a sustainable economy, changes are necessary; the structure of the economy must be adapted to the limits of nature and society, and businesses can play a crucial role in this.
Partner Events & Knowledge Sessions
As a partner, you are invited to participate in various events and knowledge sessions. Here, you meet other partners and can exchange experiences and inspiration. We recently attended the first event; an afternoon dedicated to "New Prosperity." How can growth and wealth look in a world where we are already running up against the limits of our planet? And how can legislation, such as the CSRD, play a protective role in this?
And if your company is working on its sustainability performance, you'll want to communicate about it. But to do this correctly, without the risks of greenwashing and misleading, various (inter)national guidelines around communication apply. This topic was also discussed.
