We have experience with various projects in the maritime sector, helping companies understand and reduce the environmental impact of their activities and products. Through life cycle assessments (LCAs), Environmental Cost Indicator (MKI) calculations, and strategic advice, we assist the sector in becoming more sustainable and innovative.
We have built our expertise by, for example:
- Investigating how a hydrogen-powered ship can contribute to an emission-free future for a Dutch company active in construction and civil engineering.
- Making an Environmental Cost Indicator calculation for the environmental impacts of sand and gravel extraction for a dredging company.
- Conducting LCAs and EPDs for three different products for a Dutch manufacturer of seals for ships, pumps, and tidal turbines. This provided valuable insights for making their products more sustainable and positioning them in international markets.
- Assisting a young and innovative company developing a carbon capture system for ships with an analysis of the environmental impact, and developing strategies to further optimize their technology.
