Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in the interior design sector. Material usage plays a crucial role in the transition to a circular economy. By revising materials, production processes, and business models, large-scale reuse and recycling become possible.

The significant role of this sector within the circular economy is evident in the vast amounts of materials and products involved in office fit-outs and refurbishments. Especially within the public sector, and increasingly in B2B, we see that sustainability scores are becoming an increasingly important factor. Purchases are no longer judged solely on price and quality but also on their impact on people and the environment.

• Calculating environmental impact through LCAs, EPDs, and environmental impact indicators (MKI) to make sustainability scores transparent for tenders.
• Supporting large-scale refurbishments and renovations with a focus on circularity.
• Analysing the environmental impact of all materials used in the Dutch exhibition at the Floriade.
• Assisting a Turkish furniture manufacturer in becoming more sustainable and communicating sustainably to the European market.
• Supporting an interior designer in mapping the carbon footprint of designs and the organisation.
